La segunda fase del pago por uso para el transporte de mercancías por carretera en Bizkaia comenzará el 1 de julio
La segunda fase extenderá a la A-8 y BI-10, N-636 y la BI-30 el sistema de arcos de peaje que ya se puso en marcha en 2023 en la BI-625 y N-240 y que ha logrado reducir el tráfico de grandes camiones un 30% y 39% de media respectivamente. El sistema, alineado con los objetivos de sostenibilidad y descarbonización de la Unión Europea, afecta a los grandes vehículos pesados de más de 3,5 toneladas.
El pago por uso para transportes pesados de más de 3,5 toneladas en Bizkaia será efectivo desde el próximo 1 de julio de 2024 en las siguientes carreteras:
• A-8 Autopista del Cantábrico y BI-10, desde Basurto (p.k. 119,500) hasta El Haya (p.k. 139,219).
• N-240 Tarragona - Bilbao (Barazar), desde la unión de El Gallo (p.k. 55,773) y la variante Ubidea (p.k. 23,050).
• N-636 Beasain - Durango (Kanpazar) desde el punto limítrofe con Gipuzkoa (p.k.34,980) hasta Durango (p.k. 49,350).
• BI-30 (antigua N-637) Cruces- Erletxes (Rontegi), entre la unión de Cruces (p.k.8,000) y la unión de Erletxes (p.k. 28,180).
• BI-625 desde Laudio (p.k. 372,560) a Basauri (p.k. 387,310).
De esta manera, el sistema desarrollado en una primera fase para las carreteras N-240 y BI-625, se extenderá a todas las vías anteriormente citadas a partir del próximo 1 de julio de 2024.
Carlos Alzaga, diputado de Infraestructuras y Desarrollo Territorial, ha explicado que se trata de un modelo alineado con las directrices de descarbonización que establece la Unión Europea y que contribuye a incentivar a los grandes camiones de más de 3,5 toneladas a reducir las emisiones de CO2 evitando sobre-recorridos.
Asimismo, de manera indirecta, este sistema permite trasvasar tráfico pesado de las carreteras comarcales a los grandes corredores y vías de alta capacidad, reduciendo el paso de vehículos pesados por los cascos urbanos de los municipios. "Desde que se puso en marcha la primera fase el tráfico de camiones grandes ha disminuido notablemente, con reducciones del 30% en la BI-625 y del 39% en la N-240. El sistema de pago promueve una red de transporte más verde y eficiente; son miles de camiones diarios que en muchos casos estaban atravesando cascos urbanos, con el consiguiente impacto medioambiental y de seguridad para las y los vecinos", ha afirmado Alzaga.
Apoyo al sector del transporte de mercancías por carretera
"El objetivo es garantizar un transporte de mercancías por carretera que sea sostenible, eficiente y responsable tanto económica como socialmente y que el propio sector sea un agente activo del cambio" ha asegurado el diputado. Carlos Alzaga ha recordado que la Diputación Foral de Bizkaia mantiene su compromiso con el sector del transporte de mercancías, ofreciendo un plan de ayuda que incluye medidas de apoyo económico y descuentos para promover la modernización y competitividad de las flotas.
Así, 948 transportistas están registrados para beneficiarse de descuentos, que sumaron un total de 365,000 euros desde enero de 2023 hasta mayo de 2024. Por otra parte, el programa para la modernización del sector en el que colaboran el departamento de Infraestructuras y Desarrollo Territorial y el departamento de Promoción Económica para ayudar a renovar la flota con mejoras en el campo de la seguridad, eficiencia energética y la adaptación a entornos digitales ya ha resuelto este año más de 200 solicitudes con un importe de subvención total de 593.000 euros, lo que hace prever que se agotará el presupuesto inicial de 1,5 millones de euros.
